The Egyptian King is leaving Liverpool this season, leaving behind historic stats that place him in the debate over the best player in Premier League history


Mohamed Salah is leaving Liverpool at the end of the 2025–26 season, and the stats he leaves behind are Premier League history, placing him in the debate over the best player in the history of the English league.

In terms of titles, he has won two Premier League championships, one Champions League, two Carabao Cups, one FA Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Club World Cup, and one English Super Cup.

League stats

In the league, the Egyptian is the fourth-highest scorer in Premier League history and the top foreign scorer with 189 goals, trailing only Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, and Alan Shearer.

He holds the record for the most goal contributions in a 38-game season, having tallied 47 goal contributions (29 goals and 18 assists) in the 2024–25 season. In his first Premier League season, he broke the record for goals in a 38-game season with 32 goals, which currently stands as the second-highest total in history.

He is the player who has scored a goal and provided an assist in the most matches in the competition, having achieved this feat in a total of 42 games. He was also the only player to score a hat-trick as a visitor at Old Trafford.

In terms of accolades, Salah has won the Premier League Player of the Year award three times, more than any other player, has been named to the Premier League Team of the Year four times, and has won the Player of the Month award seven times, a record no other player has improved. He has also won four Golden Boots and two playmaker Awards. He also won a Puskás Award thanks to a goal against Everton.

Furthermore, since joining Liverpool, he has racked up 281 goal contributions. Since then, the player with the second-most goal contributions is Heung-Min Son with 173, followed by Harry Kane with 169. He managed to score more goals than three Premier League clubs in a single season and is the first player to reach double digits in both goals and assists before Christmas in the Premier League.

During his time at Liverpool, he has tallied 373 goal contributions and has become the third-highest scorer in club history with 255 goals, trailing only Roger Hunt and Ian Rush, and the club’s all-time leader in assists in the Premier League with 92, tied with Steven Gerrard.

The Egyptian has played 435 matches for the club so far, placing him 23rd on the list of players with the most appearances for the club and third among non-British or irish players.

He has scored 30 goals for the club in five different seasons and become the club’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League, as well as the player with the most goal contributions in league play in the club’s history.

In European competitions, he is the club’s all-time leading scorer with 52 goals and also the all-time leading African scorer in Champions League history.
