Nottingham Forest advanced to the round of 16 of the Europa League after knocking out Fenerbahçe.

The tricky Trees seem to have found stability with Vítor Pereira, its fourth manager this season, after eliminating Fenerbahçe to advance to the round of 16 of the Europa League, where they will face either Betis or Midtjylland.

The English side went into the second leg with a three-goal lead after the match in Turkey. For a moment, it looked like Fenerbahçe could turn the tie around when they made it 2-0 with a penalty in the 48th minute, but Hudson-Odoi’s goal in the 68th minute sealed the tie.

It seems that the signing of Vítor Pereira is paying off. His players showed maturity by not faltering when they found themselves one goal away from losing their three goal lead, and in the match against Liverpool, they also showed confidence and, despite losing, the Reds’ performance deserved at least a draw.

Even tough things seem to work The test continues for the coach, whose goals between now and the end of the season are to make their mark in the Europa League and try to to make it as far as possible, and avoid relegation, which is currently only two points away.
